Here’s an example of a California judge doing just that.

What happened?

A male California lawyer directed an incognito insult at his two female opposing counsels on the record.

The female defense lawyers had just prevailed in a nonsuit of the male lawyer's case.

The insult is something that is only used against women.

The male lawyer said it was a "joke" and he didn't expect anyone to notice it.

The female lawyers brought the insult to the judge’s attention, and the male lawyer was referred to the state bar for disciplinary action.

The judge said in his order that "it is not a joke to this Court that Mr. Scott made this egregious and offensive insult intentionally to two female attorneys via a coded message."
