Taking Control of Your Mental Health
Depression is real. Mental health issues are REAL.
So are doctors to help you with it.
If you wake up every morning filled with dread, you owe it to yourself to do something about it. You have the power to try to make things better.
Change is hard. You aren’t sure if these doctors will help. You need help NOW. You aren’t sure if going to therapy or psychiatry will work.
Change takes time. There’s no magic pill to push you from sad to happy. Examine how you got to this point.
Examine everything in your life – diet, people, technology habits, sleep, job, relationships, environment, mindset, gratitude habits.
You don’t have to change everything right now.
But if you are waking up every morning depressed or angry, please tell someone close to you about it, someone you trust. Then, consider making an appointment with the best psychiatrist and therapist you can find.
If you need help in the States with the process of finding a medical provider, consider contacting the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
