Some of You May Know Me As Law Practice Queen

Some of you may know me as the Law Practice Queen.

I came up with the brand name Law Practice Queen to encourage other female lawyers to crown themselves and have confidence even if they don't look like a stereotypical lawyer when they walk in the room.

Beyond this label, I want to share with you more.

Peel the layers back.

Because vulnerable sharing allows YOU to feel safe in my community, too.

So here goes.

In 2015, I had my first child, a girl.

By 2017, I was having issues with postpartum anxiety and depression.

I resisted getting help because I thought I could power through myself, but finally I got help in 2018 after my first panic attack.

(If you haven't had a panic attack before, it feels like you can't catch your breath, you feel like you're dying, but you're just hyperventilating.)

I started therapy.

Then saw a psychiatrist after much convincing by my therapist.

I started treatment for anxiety and depression (various medications, supplements, and Alpha-Stim treatments).

I can't believe I delayed getting help, because it made such a positive difference.

I went from irritable, angry, and crying often to... calm. Happy.

People actually noticed and asked what I was doing differently.

It made a huge difference in my quality of life.

For anyone that is going through this struggle, you are NOT alone.
