Social Media Boundaries

I get asked a lot of 1-line questions on social media.

Usually the questions are outside my expertise, deal with a different country, a different type of law, or ask for a referral that would take me hours to place. I used to spend a lot of time “helping” with these questions, even if I didn't know a thing about it.

I don’t do that anymore.

And it’s all in the name of self-care + social media boundaries.
Because many of these questions are easily Googleable, or something that I am not the best source of “help” for.

And I have neglected things in my life to bend over backwards for my career. Things like my health, sleep, family, or even basic things like cleaning my room or showering. I would always explain it away with “I’m a creative entrepreneur” or “my life is crazy busy and that’s the price I pay” or excuses like that.

Not anymore. I’m honoring my time in a better way.

If I don’t know the answer to a stranger’s question, I say no, best of luck, and I don’t apologize.

I hope you have been able to use boundaries on social media. You are worth it. 💖👑

All my love,
