If You’re Struggling Today…
If you are struggling today, try to just get through today.
Look back at all you have accomplished.
If you are struggling today, reach out and tell a trusted friend.
Normalize telling each other when we are not okay.
During the pandemic, my friends and I had a group text.
It was a group of working moms, and we had a color scale.
The color scale listed a color for each emotion.
Red was on the sad/mad end of the scale, and green was on the happy end.
Sometimes we would just say on the text: "I'm having a red day." And list the reasons why.
Even if you don't have a group of friends to share with, tell a trusted friend how you are doing.
They want to hear about the bad days - it happens to all of us.
