Helping You With Time Management
Helping You With Time Management...
We tend take on too much at once, and it results in us feeling overwhelmed and not able to accomplish our lofty goals.
Has this happened to you?
You place lofty, unrealistic expectations on yourself, and then feel bad when you don't accomplish them, even though the expectations were not sustainable or realistic in the first place.
A helpful thing to do when you are crunched for time is to focus on one big goal at a time and say no to anything else that doesn't help you accomplish this big goal.
For example, I wrote a book last year, and in order to complete the book, I said no to everything else.
When a colleague would ask me to chat from a networking perspective, I would say I was working on my book, and could we please connect once I finished the book.
I was running a membership program for women in law, and sunsetted the membership so I could focus my limited time on finishing the book.
It really worked. Once I cleared out my calendar to work on my book, I was able to funnel my focus on that, and get it done.
I hope this time management tip is helpful to you.
