Is ‘Self Care’ a Stupid Phrase?

Is Self Care a Stupid Phrase? Let's Dig In. ⬇️⬇️⬇️

As a lawyer and business owner, the concept of self care was confusing to me.

When I was first introduced to self care - after a depression diagnosis - I was concerned that I wasn't doing self care "right."

My thoughts would be like...

"Does working out count as self care?"

"What about cooking for my family?"

And so on.

...

Over time, I've changed how I approach "self care."

For me, it's taking time for myself.

Lately, that's meant taking an hour to go to a workout class during my lunch break.

Or scheduling monthly massages.

And saying NO.

Saying no is one of my no-so-secret ways to accomplish big goals quickly.

You have to put up STRONG boundaries around your time and energy.

It can be really hard juggling work and life as a law firm owner or lawyer.

This is why I documented my tips on mental health, business development, finding your purpose, and how to survive the legal industry in my book, Build Your Empire.

If you are feeling overwhelmed as a law firm owner or a lawyer, and looking for a helpful resource, I wouldn't wait to grab your copy of my book. It's so, so helpful for lawyers and entrepreneurs. Get a copy of my book here.
