How Much Did Your Book Make You Anyways?

"How much money did your book make anyway?"

"Did you sell a lot of copies?"

"Is a book a money maker or more of a lead generator?"

These are a sampling of the most common questions people asked me after writing my book.

When I wrote my book, I wasn't thinking about how much money it would make.

I still don't know how much money it makes.

I actually don't even check.

What I do measure is the feedback I get from people that read it - that it inspired them to start their own law firm, to start building a book of business, that if I could do it, then they felt like they could too.

A female attorney recently told me that after reading my book, she decided she could start her own firm - and that she never thought it was okay to do this with her life.

This is why I wrote my book, and why I write these posts on LinkedIn and other platforms. πŸ’—πŸ˜Š

Have you ever wanted to write a book?

One of my mentors, Cara Alwill, said that everyone has a book inside their head just waiting to be written.

What would your book be about?

If you are interested in starting your own law firm or building a book of business in the legal industry, definitely check out my book, Build Your Empire: A Law Firm Owner's Survival Guide to the Private Legal Industry, available on Amazon.
