Lawyers: Avoid These 3 Mistakes with Your LinkedIn Content
Attention Lawyers, do you look to LinkedIn as a source of networking to a potential client base? Did you know that your LinkedIn content directly affects your performance to reach those new clients?
Here’s 3 mistakes to avoid when creating your LinkedIn content.
1️⃣ Your post's audience is too broad.
Try niching down. Instead of speaking to someone, you are trying to speak to everyone (and as a result, people are scrolling by your posts). Niche down and speak to one ideal client you would like to work with.
2️⃣ Your posting is inconsistent.
Jay credits steady consistency to his success on LinkedIn, and his consistent flow of lawyer clients that hire him to assist with social media thought leadership. He batch writes his posts, and then doles them out each business day. He likes to write in a flow state. Brilliant, Jay.
3️⃣ You're posting for likes, and not for dollars.
With each post, Jay recommends focusing on your core content pillars that are important to your ideal client. If you look at Jay's LinkedIn posts, he covers consistent content pillars, like business development for lawyers, thought leadership, mental health, and productivity.
