1 Thing You Aren’t Prepared for on Social Media

THE 1 THING YOU AREN’T PREPARED FOR ON SOCIAL MEDIA...

Plagiarism.

Stealing.

As a content creator, people will steal your ideas and work.

Yep!

Straight up.

They will copy your work and not give you credit.

If you are a content creator, perhaps you've been in this situation before.

It’s happened to me many times.

Even to the point where words were lifted from my posts and reposted to appear as if it was their words.

It actually happened to me TODAY.

The first reaction I have to this: total anger. WTF.

A lot of hard work goes into content creation. It’s not easy running multiple businesses and carving out time as a lawyer to create content.

But then, we have a chance to choose how we react.

Do we get confrontational?

Do we threaten to sue?

I opt to channel my energy elsewhere.

That anger, that frustration of being copied…

Channel it.

Use it as power.

Because ultimately, people who imitate can’t see what you are going to do next.

Keep everyone guessing.

And keep looking ahead.

If you take inspiration from others, credit their work.

A special thanks to my life and business coach, Cara Alwill, in inspiring this post 💖🙏👑
